Mangaluru, Jun 19: On behalf of International Day of Yoga 2025 Yenepoya Naturopathy and Yogic Science College and Hospital Naringana, in association with central council for research in yoga and naturopathy, New Delhi and Ministry of Ayush organised 'Yoga for mental health', a seminar and workshop under the banner of ‘YOGA SAMAVESH’.
The programme commenced with prayer by 2nd year BNYS students followed by lamp lighting which was done by the dignitaries present on the dais.




The programme was continued with insightful opening remarks and welcome address from Dr Padmashree who was the co-ordinator of the programme.
Key note address was given by the chief guest Dr Anil Kakunje, HOD, dept psychiatry, YMC who had put light on the current psychiatry and psychological problems and the attitude of the people towards these problems.
The program continued with the speech of resource persons then. Dr Mohammad Rafiq CMO, Beach Healing Home Hoode, Udupi, who is the senior naturopathy and yoga physician explained the importance of Yoga in daily life.
Another resource person Dr Soumya Mahesh Pandith, professor and HOD yoga, CARE yoga and naturopathy medical college and hospital, Guntur, had explained the 8 basic practices of Yoga which we have adapt in our routine life and how these practices help us to calm down our mind in any situations.
Guest of honour Renuka, supervisor, woman and child development department, Vitla who gave the picture of stress factors affecting the women group in work place.
Programme chairperson Dr Puneeth Raghavendra K R principal, Yenepoya naturopathy and yogic science college and Hospital explained the importance of yoga practices for the mental health.
Dr Abhijna, assistant professor, Yenepoya Naturopathy and Yogic Science College and Hospital presented the vote of thanks.
All the invited guests honoured by memento as a token of gratitude.
Later, Dr Padmashree had instructed yoga protocol for mental health for the camp participants.
