Lalu hits back at PM Modi with ‘Weather Alert’ on lies in Bihar

Patna, Jun 20: Hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav in Bihar, the former chief minister hit back with a sarcastic "weather alert," warning of a "heavy downpour of lies and illusions" in the poll-bound state.

Taking to X, Lalu shared an AI-generated video featuring clips of PM Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, writing, “Weather warning in the interest of Bihar — Today there is heavy rain of lies, false promises and illusions, hailstones of false and tempting promises are also falling along with thunder. Be careful.”

PM Modi, addressing a public rally in Siwan, had earlier slammed Lalu Yadav and the RJD over a viral video showing Yadav’s feet near a portrait of Dr B R Ambedkar. “The whole country saw what the RJD did to Babasaheb's photo. They won’t apologise because they have no respect for Dalits and the backwards,” Modi said.

Accusing the RJD and Congress of “looting Bihar,” Modi claimed the state’s poverty was a result of their misrule. “Those who brought jungle raj are looking for another chance. You must remain alert for your children’s future,” he warned.

Calling their actions “anti-Bihar and anti-investment,” Modi said the opposition nurtured “mafia raj, gunda raj and corruption,” and ridiculed their politics as “parivar ka sath, parivar ka vikas.” He added that Babasaheb Ambedkar stood against such dynastic politics.
