Mangaluru, Jun 21: With the aim of providing the best training to the students at par with industrial standards, St Aloysius ITI has entered into collaboration ventures with various industries. One such tie-up is with M/s Hyundai Motor India Limited. The graduation ceremony for the 10th batch of students under this initiative was held on June 19 in the institution.
The beneficiaries of this tie-up initiative were the final year students of mechanic motor vehicle trade. Along with the regular curriculum, these students had to undergo training as per Hyundai curriculum. Completion certificates were issued to the students for the successful completion of the training and were honoured by a graduation sash.















The programme commenced with a prayer song sung by electronic mechanic 1st year students. Robin Vas convener of the programme escorted the dignitaries to the dais. Ravinag manager, service training, South Region, Hyundai Motor India Ltd; Lancy Rebello territory parts & service manager, South Region, HMIL; Anand Kumar general manager, service & bodyshop, Advaith Hyundai; Sandesh S S general manager, service, Kanchana Hyundai; Aruna Poojary training manager, Advaith Hyundai and Karthick Pai service manager, Advaith Hyundai were the dignitaries for the programme. Fr John Dsouza S J director of St Aloysius ITI was the president for the programme; Roshan D'Souza principal; Alwyn Menezes vice principal; Noel Lobo & Wilson N training officers; Robin Vas, convener of the programme, staff and students were present.
Roshan D’Souza, principal of the institution welcomed the gathering. The inauguration of the programme was done by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais.
Speaking on the occasion Ravinag encouraged the students saying, “There are many opportunities for trainers in the future. Students hired as technicians in our organization also have chances to rise as assistant managers. So, continue your education. Nothing is impossible in this world.”
Shreyas - an alumnus of the institution said, “I am a proud former student of St Aloysius ITI. Today I serve as a Floor Manager at Hyundai, having joined as a technician. I will always be indebted to this institution.”
The students were honored by the convocation stole. Certificates and job offer letters were distributed to the students by dealer representatives.
Lancy Rebello motivated the students by saying, "By using the various opportunities you receive, you can succeed. Technology is advancing rapidly, and you should plan for your future. Nothing comes easy. With hard work and use of the opportunities available, we can lead a beautiful life.”
Anand said, "Dear students, today marks the beginning of your career. With self-confidence, everything is possible. Hard work is crucial for success. Knowledge is as vast as the ocean.”
In his presidential address Fr John D’Souza S J said, "If we have a goal, we can overcome any obstacles. Therefore, seek more knowledge. The automobile industry is ever-evolving and growing.”
Robin Vas, Convener of the programme proposed the vote of thanks. Royson Castelino, student of MMV 1st year compered the programme.
