Karkala, Jun 21: International Yoga Day was observed in Christ King Educational Institutions, Karkala.

Vinayak Kudwa, member of Shri Patanjali yoga samiti Karkala was the chief guest for the programme. In his address he said "Everyone should practice yoga in their daily life. Yoga is important to keep a healthy body". He also highlighted how to impart healthy habits through yoga in daily life.

Rudolph Kishore Lobo, headmaster of primary section addressing the programme said "Yoga is not just about exercise, we need to work our bodies with devotion and become absorbed in the supreme being. That is true yoga".

Nikhil Poojary, state-;evel yoga practiser and former student of the institution demonstrated various yoga asanas. Primary and high school students participated in the yoga session.

Nritya, yoga instructor and Josna Snehalatha, high school in-charge were present on the occasion.

Physical education instructors Krishnaprasad, Prakash Naik, and Lavanya coordinated, and Ashwini Pai, high school faculty compered.
