Mangaluru: Pickup overturns, Rs 5 lac worth of jamun fruit spills on road

Mangaluru, June 22: A pickup vehicle transporting jamun (Indian blackberry) from Shivamogga to Mangaluru overturned near Mukka Junction around 5 am on Saturday after hitting a road divider.

As a result, jamun fruit worth an estimated Rs 5 lac spilled onto the road.

Fortunately, the driver escaped unhurt in the accident.

Locals in the area were seen taking away some of the spilled fruit.
