Mangaluru, Jun 22: Cambridge School, held its grand investiture ceremony on June 20 to formally entrust leadership responsibilities to the newly elected student council for the academic year 2025–26. The event was a spectacular celebration of leadership, achievement, and commitment, marked by the presence of dignitaries, teachers, proud parents, and enthusiastic students.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome extended to the chief guest, Subedar Major Suresh Shetty, the school’s principal, Anupama Shetty, parents, teachers and students.

























Symbolizing the dawn of wisdom and clarity, the ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed by the chief guest, principal, and the academic supervisors. This was followed by a soulful prayer song seeking divine blessings for the newly appointed leaders.
A graceful welcome dance by the students infused the atmosphere with cultural vibrancy and celebration.
The highlight of the ceremony was the march past, where the new student council marched with pride and precision, showcasing their readiness to lead with honour. The badge and sash distribution followed, where student leaders were conferred with their symbols of responsibility. Each student's accomplishments reflected excellence in academics, sports, arts, and leadership.
Notable appointments included:
Gizelle Ashna Pereira as the school pupil leader, a distinction holder and accomplished performer in handwriting and STEM competitions.
Aryan Madhu Naik, assistant School Pupil leader, known for his active participation in swimming championships and children’s parliament events.
Jnyan C Karkera, Sports captain (Boys), led the state-level winning cricket team.
Omisha Alva, Sports captain (Girls), acclaimed basketball player representing Dakshina Kannada.
A host of house captains, club leaders, and vice-captains, all of whom have proven excellence in diverse fields from martial arts and public speaking to Olympiads and creative arts.
Teachers too were honoured during the ceremony. House mistresses and club in-charge teachers for the year were announced, highlighting the institution’s continued emphasis on nurturing values, creativity, and collaboration through house and club activities.
The oath-taking ceremony saw SPL Gizelle and ASPL Aryan lead the student cabinet in a pledge of responsibility and commitment. This was followed by inspiring speeches by the young leaders, filled with gratitude, vision, and resolve.
A special felicitation of the grade X board toppers was also held, recognising academic excellence in the 2024–25, CBSE Board Examinations.
In his address, chief guest subedar major Suresh Shetty spoke of leadership rooted in discipline, service, and integrity. He encouraged the students to lead by example and uphold the values of their alma mater.
The event concluded with a sincere vote of thanks and the solemn National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired and proud.
