Bengaluru, Jun 22: The Federation of Konkani Catholic Associations (FKCA) joyfully invites you to its 27th Annual Federation Day celebration, to be held on Saturday, June 29 at 5.00 pm at the St Joseph’s University Auditorium, Langford Road, Bangalore.

Three outstanding achievers from the Konkani Catholic community will be honoured for their remarkable contributions.

Lifetime achievement award:

Valerian Fernandes, proprietor – Fernandes Road Carriers

Professional excellence award:

Mark D’Souza, chartered accountant, Founding Partner – Mark D’Souza & Co LLP

Entrepreneur of the year award:

Errol Fernandes, chairman & managing director, Ferns Estates & Developers

The evening will be graced by K J George, Karnataka cabinet minister for energy, government of Karnataka, as the chief guest.

Guests of Honour for this programme are -

Margaret Alva, former union minister & former governor – Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Goa & Gujarat.

Ivan D’Souza, member of Karnataka Legislative Council.

JR Lobo, former MLA (Mangalore City South).

The programme will be presided over by his grace, Dr Peter Machado, archbishop of Bangalore.

Programme highlights:

  • 3.15 pm to 4.30 pm – A laughter-filled comedy show directed by Nellu Permannur, sure to bring smiles to all ages.
  • 5.00 pm onwards – The federation day awards ceremony, Maando, dance & music.

The evening will conclude with a fellowship dinner at 8.30 pm, a time for community bonding, shared laughter, and celebration.

All are welcome to join this memorable evening that celebrates the values and vibrant spirit of the Konkani Catholic community.

Established in 1998, Federation of Konkani Catholic associations (FKCA) aim to advocate for the rights and interests of Christians in society, not only in Karnataka and India but also across the globe. Currently, FKCA comprises 35 Konkani Catholic associations, including 11 associations in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chickmagalur, as well as associations in Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, USA, UK, Canada, Germany and other locations.

FKCA has been actively involved in various programmes such as education scholarships, healthcare initiatives, medical aid, and blood donation camps to support those in need, regardless of their religious or cultural background.
