Udupi Diocese delegation meets new SP, offers support

Udupi, Jun 23: A delegation from the Udupi Christian Diocese met with the newly appointed superintendent of police, Hariram Shankar, to convey their greetings and best wishes.

Representing the Christian community of the district, the delegation extended the blessings and wishes of the bishop, Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, and assured full cooperation in maintaining law and order in the district.

Responding positively to the assurance, SP Hariram Shankar expressed his commitment to extend all possible assistance within the legal framework in case of any issues faced by the community. He also requested the community to continue supporting efforts to uphold peace and order in the region.

The delegation included Fr Steven D’Souza, chancellor of the Diocese; Denis D’Sa, public relations officer; and Prashanth Jathanna, state president of the All India Christian Federation and director of the Christian Development Corporation.
