Mangaluru: Beauty saloon raided for illegal activities, trade license cancelled

Mangaluru, June 24: Acting on credible intelligence, the Mangaluru city police conducted a raid on a beauty saloon in Bejai. The establishment, owned by Sudarshan, a resident of Brahmagiri, Udupi, was allegedly involved in illegal activities.

Following the raid, a case was registered at Urwa police station under Crime No. 55/2025, invoking sections 3(1), 4, 5, and 6 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. The investigation is currently underway.

In addition, a report was submitted to the commissioner of Mangaluru City Corporation recommending the cancellation of the business license issued to the said saloon. Based on the findings, the trade license of Sixth Sense Beauty Saloon has been officially revoked.

The Mangaluru city police have reiterated their commitment to taking strict action against establishments engaged in unlawful activities.
