Karkala, Jun 24: The silver jubilee celebration of Shri Bhuvanendra Residential School was held at the S R Auditorium of Shri Bhuvanendra College, with the event being inaugurated and blessed by Swami Jitakamanandaji, president of Ramakrishna Ashram, Mangaluru.
In his address, Swami Jitakamanandaji emphasised that educational institutions must not only prepare students for exams but also nurture them into responsible citizens with strong moral values. He noted that the school was started many years ago in Karkala with the goal of offering quality education along with residential facilities in rural areas.























Today, as it completes 25 years, the school proudly sees its alumni holding prestigious positions and serving as role models in society. He added that Shri Bhuvanendra Residential School has always stood out by combining academic learning with moral and spiritual values. He also acknowledged the close and long-standing relationship between Shri Bhuvanendra Institutions and Ramakrishna Ashram, as seen in the annual moral and spiritual camps conducted there.
Presiding over the event, CA Shivananda Pai B, president of the governing council of Shri Bhuvanendra College, stated, “Education is not merely about acquiring literacy. It is about building personality, social responsibility, leadership qualities, and creativity. Shri Bhuvanendra Residential School has consistently emphasized these values, helping each student not just score marks but acquire life skills essential for true success.”
Dr K Sridhara R Pai, administrator of the Academy of General Education, shared his thoughts on the occasion.
School principal Pramila Kotian welcomed the guests and gave an introductory note. The event was compered by Veena Shenoy.
Other dignitaries present included trustee Shri Bhuvanendra College Anand G Pai, correspondent Venkatesh Prabhu, secretary Manjunath A Kotian, and president of the Alumni Association M K Vipul Thej.
