Train number 17377, running from Vijayapura to Mangaluru Central, will depart Vijayapura at 3:00 pm and arrive at Mangaluru Central at 9:50 am. In the return direction, train number 17378 will leave Mangaluru Central at 4:45 pm and reach Vijayapura at 11:15 am.

In his tweet, MP Capt Brijesh Chowta stated that this move will bring significant relief to passengers travelling between the two cities. Capt Brijesh Chowta also expressed his gratitude to union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and minister of state V Somanna for their support in making this possible.
It may be recalled, the train had been a long-standing demand for over five years. It began operating on a temporary basis from December 1, 2021.
