Media Release

Udupi, Jun 28: With the new academic year comes a fresh wave of excitement, new classrooms, new batchmates, new books and so on. It also brings with it a batch of new leaders who take up their duties with enthusiasm. On June 28, Silas International School held the investiture ceremony, an event to invest responsibilities in a fresh batch of leaders.

Vijayalakshmi, advocate and human rights activist graced the stage as the chief guest. To begin with, the blessings of the Almighty were invoked with a soul-stirring prayer song by the teachers.

The proceedings were then taken over by Dinesh, who invited the newly elected office-bearers to take their positions, their faces beaming with pride and anticipation. The chief guest, Vijayalakshmi, a renowned advocate and human rights activist, and the honourable principal Jecintha D’Costa, donned sashes and pinned badges on the young leaders as they marched confidently onto the stage.

The chief guest's address was a treasure trove of wisdom, as advocate Vijayalakshmi advised the students to respect their alma mater, their dedicated teachers, and the trust placed in them. She reminded them that leadership is not about authority, but about service, and that true leaders lead with their hearts and actions, not just their badges.

The principal's address was a clarion call to the student leaders, reminding them that they were not only leaders but also role models and ambassadors of the school community. She emphasized the importance of embodying values like integrity, empathy, and excellence, and urged them to lead with humility and compassion.

The newly elected school head boy, Murali Karthik, and head girl, Shanvi Poojary, delivered inspiring acceptance speeches, promising to discharge their duties with diligence, sincerity, and passion. Their words were a testament to the school's commitment to fostering young leaders who would make a positive impact.

Amritha's warm welcome address set the stage for a morning of inspiration and empowerment.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Shilpa, and a photo session to commemorate this momentous occasion.

Good leadership is the ability to transform vision into reality.
