Doha, Jun 28: Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) hosted a vibrant celebration of International Yoga Day at Pearling Sports Academy, Doha, promoting physical and mental well-being through yoga and meditation. The event drew a diverse group of participants, including prominent community leaders and wellness advocates.
KSQ general secretary Kumar Swamy opened the programme and handed over the proceedings to Kannada development secretary Bheemappa Khot. KSQ president Ravi Shetty welcomed the gathering and urged everyone to make yoga a regular habit, quoting Swami Vivekananda: “Through practice comes Yoga, through Yoga comes knowledge, through knowledge love, and through love bliss.”





































The yoga session was led by Anita Paple, followed by a meditation session conducted by Jayavani — both sessions were well-received and appreciated by the attendees.
As part of the event, an official flyer was also released for the upcoming KSQ silver jubilee special Karnataka Rajatha Cup Cricket Tournament, organised in partnership with the Karnataka Royals cricket team. The release was conducted by noted cricket enthusiast and community leader Asmath Ali, joined by KSQ Advisors, the management committee, and representatives of Karnataka Royals.
KSQ vice president Ramesha K S delivered the vote of thanks, recognising the support of all guests and contributors. Healthy refreshments were served to reinforce the wellness theme of the day.
The event witnessed strong community participation, including KSQ advisory chairman Mahesh Gowda; advisors Arun Kumar, Madhu H K, and Dr Sanjay Kudari; ISC MC member Chandrashekar Angadi; ISC advisory panel member Subramanya Hebbagelu; ICC former president Milan Arun; and the presidents and MC members of Tulukoota Qatar – Sandesh Anand, Bunts Qatar – Naveen Shetty, and Billawas Qatar – Aparna Sharath. KSQ MC members and volunteers worked diligently to ensure the event's success.
With a strong turnout and positive energy, KSQ reaffirmed its commitment to fostering health, culture, and unity among the Indian community in general, and particularly the Karnataka community in Qatar.
