Srinivas University students join awareness walk against drug abuse

Mangaluru, Jul 1: Srinivas University, Institute of Port, Shipping and Logistics Management, actively participated in the awareness walk held on the occasion of the International Day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

The walk covered 1–3 km stretches from the Dakshina Kannada DC office, Padil to Padil Junction, a busy market area, aiming to educate the public on the ill effects of drug abuse and joined formal programme organised by Link Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts, Padil.

Gayathri, inspector from the excise department, Mangaluru, addressed the students and shared valuable insights on combating drug addiction and promoting a drug-free society.

The programme concluded with all participants taking a pledge to stay away from drugs and spread awareness within their communities.
