Letter claiming knowledge of crimes in Dharmasthala circulates online; complaint filed

Beltangady, Jul 4: A letter claiming to reveal information about certain criminal activities that allegedly took place in Dharmasthala village has recently gone viral on social media platforms.

In connection with this development, the individual who claims to possess such information has submitted a formal complaint on July 3, 2026, to the office of the superintendent of police and also to the Dharmasthala police station.

Police authorities have confirmed that the complaint has been received and a preliminary inquiry is underway. Based on the findings, appropriate legal action will be initiated as per due procedure.
