Ladyhill Victoria Composite PU College organizes Investiture Ceremony 2025-26

Mangaluru, Jul 4: The investiture ceremony held on July 4 bestowed the responsibilities on the newly appointed members of its students council for the academic year 2025-26. The ceremony was presided over by the chief guest Geetha Kulkarni, assistant commissioner of police, CCRB, Mangaluru. It was also graced by our joint secretary of Ladyhill Institutions Sr Maria Kripa AC, vice president of the Alumni association Reshel Brettny Fernandes, principal Sr Sharmila AC, college coordinator Seema Sheikh, staff convener Rithin Joyline D Almeida, lecturers and the students were present.

The ceremony commenced with a solemn prayer service by evoking the blessings from the Almighty. College students welcomed the gathering with a warm and vibrant welcome dance. Reema Marina Ornello, lecturer in chemistry welcomed the gathering. The sacred ritual of lighting the lamp was initiated by the dignitaries of the day symbolizing the spread of knowledge. Principal Sr Sharmila AC was escorted to the stage by the student council members wherein the college flag was placed as an indication to inaugurate this year’s College Student Council. The oath taking ceremony was initiated by passing on the light by the principal Sr Sharmila AC, setting an inspiring tone to responsibilities followed by consecrating the oath to our newly appointed student council members. The members then proclaimed their duties and they were conferred with badges by the joint secretary Sr Maria Kripa AC and principal Sr Sharmila AC. The students were adorned with sashes by the chief guest ACP Geetha Kulkarni.

ACP Geetha Kulkarni congratulated the newly appointed student council. Madam emphasized on importance of prayer in life as it makes us disciplined and efficient. She also highlighted that leadership is not just about position or authority but its all about service to society. In conclusion Madam uplifted on three principles to follow which were to avoid cybercrimes, sharing personal photographs on social media and clicking on unknown links.

Joint secretary Sr Maria Kripa AC in her ceremonial address congratulated the newly appointed council members and motivated them towards the liabilities of leadership. The newly elected student council members were filled with a spirit of responsibilities entrusted to the council and to work tirelessly for the betterment of the college.

The ceremony concluded with a delightful vote of thanks by Asiya Falak of second science. The entire program was compered with great zeal and enthusiasm by Ahana PS of second science.

The investiture ceremony was a proud moment for the entire college, signifying trust, responsibilities and a new beginning for the student leadership. The programme drew its curtains down by singing the National Anthem.
