Ryan Mendonsa takes charge as YCS Mangalore diocesan president; 'Yuvatare' annual magazine released

Mangaluru, Jul 6: Ryan Mendonsa, the new diocesan president of YCS from Holy Spirit church Mukka, along with other office bearers, took charge during the diocesan annual general body meeting held on July 6 at Urwa Church Hall, Mangalore.

The ceremony was presided over and inaugurated by president of the programme Fr Jeevan Sequeira administrator FMCI, and chief guest Anson Nazareth YCS YSM National president. Eight students including Jennica Sania D'Souza (Cascia) Vinola D'Souza (Kasaragod) Rania Ferrao (Ranipura) Ashna Ferrao (Ranipura) Aashna D'Souza (Ferar) Ranil D'souza (Fajir)Brsiton Mario Rodrigues (Cordel)Vilona D'Cunha (Ujire) were felicitated by Fr Jeevan Sequeira for their remarkable achievement.

A session was taken on the topic filtered reality: The dark side of social media by Dr Mona Jacqueline Mendonca. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Fr Roshan D'Cunha, director YCS YSM Mangalore. The concluding programme was held. The guests of the day were Fr Donald Nilesh Crasta, administrator - Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital and Santhosh D’Souza, president - Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh.

The outgoing executive committee conducted the programme. Vijay D’Souza shared his experiences on behalf of all the council members. Deyon Saldanha president of YCS Mangalore diocese welcomed the gathering. Blanola D’Souza, vice president of YCS Mangalore diocese, proposed the vote of thanks. Riyona Flemisha Lobo, presented the annual report.

Melroy D’Souza had compared the programme. The election commissioner of the year, Fr Antony Clany D’Souza, conducted the handing-over ceremony, and the diocesan director, Fr Roshan D’Cunha, led the oath-taking ceremony.

The outgoing YCS diocesan executive committee was felicitated with certificates. Fr Jeevan Sequeira, administrator - FMCI, along with the guests in the dais, released the YCS annual magazine ‘Yuvatare’. The programme was organized by a team consisting of diocesan animator Ruben D’Souza, Bajpe, and diocesan coordinator Janet Pinto, Gurpur, along with the DEXCO team. The event concluded with the YCS/YSM Anthem.
