St Theresa’s School brings Shakespeare to life in house-based theatrical competition

Mangaluru, Jul 7: From the passionate heights of romance to the darkest depths of tragedy, from the sharp wit of comedy to the intrigue of classic drama, the timeless works of William Shakespeare came alive at St Theresa’s School on July 5 through a captivating house-based Shakespearean competition.

The event commenced with a soulful prayer service and a warm welcome address, setting the stage for an afternoon rich in theatrical flair. Each house enthralled the audience with powerful scenes from Shakespeare’s plays, showcasing remarkable acting, clear diction, flawless memorization, and expressive emotions.

In a brilliant display of talent and teamwork, the results were as follows:

Green House – 1st place

Red House – 2nd place

Yellow House – 3rd place

Blue House – 4th place

The competition was judged by Ritty and Sunatra, esteemed faculty members from the English Department. They commended the participants for their creativity, confidence, and command over Shakespearean dialogue. The event proved to be a resounding success, reinforcing St Theresa’s School’s commitment to fostering literary appreciation and the performing arts.
