Mangaluru, Jul 7: The VVIP screening of ‘Chocolate Flavour: A Case of Condom’, a visionary producer pitch concept by Gagan Chandrashekar, was held at Big Cinemas on June 29.

The event was graced by several notable personalities including Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath, actors Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Prakash Thuminad, Shobharaj Pavoor, Swaraj Shetty, director Chethan Mundadi, actor J P Thuminadu, Bharath Shetty, Nithin Rai Kukkuvalli, Daskath fame Deekshith Andije, and Astra Group CEO Lanchulal. 

Following his 2023 directorial project ‘Manku Bhai and Foxy Rani’, Gagan Chandrashekar introduces a first-of-its-kind approach in Tulu. Departing from the traditional practice of submitting written scripts to producers, Chandrashekar has crafted a 30-minute cinematic concept titled ‘Chocolate Flavour: A Case of Condom’, a fully visualized producer pitch. This unique presentation format allows producers to experience the director’s vision first-hand through content, not just words.

Lead actors Deepak Rai Panaje and Shailashree Mulki lent their support to this ground-breaking initiative by performing without remuneration, demonstrating belief in the director’s creative approach and helping bring his pitch to life.

The film's music is composed by Prasad K Shetty, with cinematography and editing by Sagar B Salian. Lyrics were penned by Vijith Anchan and sung by Leelavathi Poojary. The project was assistant-directed by Gunaprasad Kukkatte and Sukesh Belthangady. Producers include Jinesh Jain, Smrithi Singh, Jay Kumar, Akshith Shetty, Prashanth Bajagoli, and Pravan Suvarna. The event was energetically hosted by Suraj Mangaluru of the Bombat Brothers.

With 'Chocolate Flavour', Gagan Chandrashekar not only showcases bold content but also introduces an innovative method to engage producers blending vision with execution to redefine how stories are pitched in regional cinema.
