Mangaluru: Three more arrested in drug supply case; cash, mobile phones seized

Mangaluru, Jul 9: The city police arrested three more accused in connection with a drug supply case registered at the central crime police station.

The accused are identified as Mayaram (32), resident of Mohan Padwa village, Barwani district, Madhya Pradesh; and Premsingh Ram Pawar (48), and Anil Prakash Koli (35), both resident of Chopda, Jalgaon district, Maharashtra.

The case was initially registered on July 2 at Mangaluru central crime police station under Crime No. 31/2025, invoking Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act.

Following the arrest of other accused earlier based on information from drug consumers, investigations revealed that drugs were being supplied to Mangaluru city from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. A special team was dispatched to these states, leading to the arrest of the above-mentioned three individuals. They were produced before the court on July 9 and remanded to judicial custody.

During the operation, police also seized three mobile phones used in the crime and cash amounting to Rs 1,78,920 from the accused.

The investigation is ongoing, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest the remaining accused in the case.

Officers and personnel from the central crime police station and the Mangaluru city special team were involved in the successful operation.

    Why not Central Govt bring a new law, like Gulf countries. spl for drugs cases. handler , supplier and seller should be excuted. as soon as the case is sorted out. no mercy on these kind of people. They want to make India next gen weak and attack on Economy of the country. Spl people of mangaulru are well verse with Gulf Law.
