Yellow alert issued for coastal Karnataka from Jul 10 to 15

Mangaluru, Jul 10: Rainfall across the coastal region remained intermittent on Wednesday, with a brief pause in showers observed in several parts of the district. In Mangaluru, the day began with a mix of sunshine and cloudy skies, followed by moderate rainfall in the afternoon.

As per the forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a yellow alert has been issued for the coastal region from July 10 to 15, with the possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall during this period.

Udupi district witnessed moderate rainfall on Wednesday. The morning to early afternoon hours were dominated by cloudy weather with occasional sunshine.

Post noon, rain activity picked up in several areas including Udupi, Manipal, Byndoor, Kundapur, Kota, Brahmavar, Malpe, Karkala, Hebri, Shirva, Padubidri, Kaup, and Uchila, all experiencing spells of moderate rain.

According to the IMD forecast, moderate rainfall is likely to continue over the next few days across the region.
