Brahmavar: Kind Hearts & Rotary Club honour SSLC toppers from 10 schools

Brahmavar, Jul 10: The Kind Hearts Trust (Registered), in collaboration with the Rotary Club Brahmavar, hosted a prestigious awards ceremony to recognise students who excelled in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations. The event honoured outstanding performers from ten schools across Brahmavar taluk, showcasing the region’s dedication to academic excellence.

The ceremony began with an invocation by Rotarian Prashant Shetty, setting a solemn and inspirational tone. Rotarian Rubina Rodrigues welcomed the gathering, which included students, parents, educators, and key members of both organisations.

Trust’s vision and future plans

Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) Rotarian Henry Lewis, managing trustee of Kind Hearts Trust (Registered), shared the trust’s future plans and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting educational initiatives in the region. “We are focused on empowering students and fostering a culture of academic achievement,” he noted.

Several dignitaries graced the occasion and commended the trust’s ongoing efforts. Fr Sunil D’Silva and Fr Mathias Dias offered their blessings and support. PHF Rotarian W C Pinto also lauded trustee Henry Lewis for his dedication to promoting education.

Distinguished presence on the dais

The dais featured an esteemed panel, including PHF Rotarian Harish Kundar, PHF Rotarian Sridhar Shetty, Jagdish Kemmannu, and PHF Rotarian Rexon Monis, reflecting the strong partnership between the two organisations and their shared goal of recognising scholastic excellence.

Students from a wide range of institutions across Brahmavar taluk were honoured. Among them were Chethana High School, Hangarkatta, which saw notable achievers; Government Board High School, Brahmavar, and Government Board High School, Gundmi, where multiple students received accolades for academic distinction.

St. Anthony’s English School, Sasthan, and Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar, were also represented by high-performing students. SMS English School and SMS High School, both from Brahmavar, had several students recognised for excellence. VKR Acharya School, Kunjal, and Sharada High School, Cherkady, were part of the honours list, while Nirmala English Medium High School, Brahmavar, stood out with significant representation and multiple awardees.
