Mangaluru, Jul 10: As part of the Swachhata Pakhwada 2025 campaign, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) distributed Swachhata kits to around 110 ASHA workers at five Primary Health Centres (PHCs) located in neighbouring villages—Bajpe, Kulai, Katipalla, Kemral, and Surathkal—on July 10.
Each ASHA worker received a Swachhata kit containing an umbrella and a jute bag, as a gesture of appreciation for their crucial role in community healthcare and nation-building. The initiative aligns with the objectives of the National Rural Health Mission, which seeks to ensure the presence of Accredited Social Health Activists in every village to serve as vital links between the public health system and local communities.

MRPL officials used the occasion to brief participants on the importance of the programme and the core principles of Swachhata. The distribution was well received and warmly appreciated by PHC doctors and members of the local public, who acknowledged the significance of recognising grassroots healthcare workers.
