Bhuj, Jul 20: In a shocking incident from Gujarat’s Kutch district, a woman Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) was allegedly murdered by her live-in partner, a CRPF constable, following a heated argument at their residence on Friday night.

The accused, Dileep Dangchia, is said to have strangled 25-year-old Arunaben Natubhai Jadav in a fit of rage during a quarrel over personal matters. Police said the altercation escalated when Arunaben allegedly made disparaging remarks about the constable's mother.

The next morning, Dangchia walked into the Anjar police station—where Arunaben herself was posted—and confessed to the crime.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Mukesh Chaudhary said, “They had a long-standing relationship and were planning to marry. The accused is currently posted with the CRPF in Manipur.”

According to police, the two had connected on Instagram in 2021 and had been living together in Anjar ever since.

Authorities are currently investigating further, while the incident has sent shockwaves through the local police force and community.
