Vidisha, Jul 23: In a horrifying crime that has left Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha district reeling, a man allegedly strangled his live-in partner and her three-year-old daughter, then spent the night beside their lifeless bodies leaving behind a chilling confession scrawled in lipstick on the wall.

The incident occurred in Ganjbasoda’s Ward Number 8 and came to light after locals alerted the police. The accused, identified as Raja alias Anuj Vishwakarma, was in a live-in relationship with 36-year-old Ramsakhi Kushwaha, who was separated from her husband. According to neighbours, the couple frequently fought, but the gruesome outcome has stunned the community.

Instead of fleeing after the murders, Anuj reportedly remained in the room overnight. Police found a message written on the wall in lipstick that read: "I killed her... she lied to me... she had a relationship with someone else..."

Additional SP Prashant Chaubey told that both the woman and her daughter, Manvi, had been strangled to death. “The accused has been arrested. Our preliminary investigation indicates a crime driven by suspicion and rage,” he said.

Investigators found no CCTV footage from the area, but the lipstick message became a crucial lead. Forensic tests confirmed it was written shortly after the killings, helping police determine the timeline.

Authorities are also assessing the mental state of the accused, given his disturbing composure post-crime and the nature of his written confession. Further probe is underway.
