Udupi, July 31: A car, bike, and a lorry were involved in a serial accident at the Santhekatte junction on the morning of Thursday, July 31.
A lorry heading towards Kundapur from Santhekatte collided with a car that was waiting on the median to make a U-turn. Due to the impact, the car moved forward and hit a bike, which was also waiting to take a U-turn.
No injuries were reported.
The U-turn junction at Santhekatte has become a danger spot, as several vehicles attempt U-turns at the same narrow stretch. Vehicles coming from both Santhekatte and Kundapur are using this single point, creating a bottleneck. During peak hours, this significantly increases the risk of accidents due to heavy traffic flow.
