Mangaluru, Aug 8: Paper Rocket brings Harry Potter and the festival of magic to Mangaluru for the first time, from August 8 to 10, at Vertex Lounge managed workspace. The event was inaugurated on Thursday.
The three-day extravaganza promises to immerse local fans in the beloved magical universe through interactive experiences, competitions, and community festivities never before seen in the city.
Managing partner of MGM Realty Gurudutt Shenoy, founder of Paper Rocket bookstore Roopashree Shenoy, and marketing head of Daijiworld Media Network Pvt Ltd Praveen Tauro were present during the inaugural event.
August 8 – Friday
The festival launches with an opening ceremony and enchanted melody show featuring live performances of iconic Harry Potter music. The Yule Ball Grooves invites attendees to participate in themed dance performances, while the Feast of Fandoms eating contest brings magical flavours to life. The day concludes with the Sorting Hat Showdown, an interactive quiz challenging even the most devoted Potterheads.
August 9 – Saturday: Cosplay and quest
Fans don their finest wizarding attire for the Wizards of Wardrobe parade, celebrating cosplay artistry and creativity. Adventure awaits in Marauder's Hunt, a treasure challenge inspired by the famous map. The Triwizard Treat Trials eating competition and the Dueling Minds tournament will test wizarding knowledge through games designed for all skill levels.
August 10 – Sunday: The grand finale
The weekend culminates with the House Cup quiz showdown, deciding which house claims ultimate victory among Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw supporters. The Battle of the Banquets serves as the spectacular final eating contest, followed by the Chamber of Challenges featuring magical games for all ages.
