Mangaluru, Aug 9: A 23-year-old woman from Hoige Bazaar in the city has been reported missing since the morning of August 7. The missing woman has been identified as Shahina Banu.

According to police, Shahina left her house around 11 am, telling her mother that she was going to the market with friends. However, she did not return home even late at night. Attempts to contact her on her mobile phone failed as the device was found switched off.

When her family contacted her friends, they confirmed that she had not gone to meet them. Despite searching in various places, no information about her whereabouts has been found so far.

Shahina, who had recently completed her paramedical studies, is about 4.8 feet tall, wheatish in complexion, and of medium build. At the time she left home, she was wearing blue jeans, a white top, and a black burqa. She is fluent in Kannada, Beary, Tulu, Hindi, and English.

Police have requested that anyone with information about her contact Pandeshwar police station immediately.
