Mangaluru: St Aloysius High School holds PTA annual general body meeting

Mangaluru, Aug 9: The annual general body meeting of the PTA was held in the High School Hall at beginning with a prayer song by the PTA Executive Committee members, seeking God’s blessings.

PTA secretary, Sunil Lobo, presented the annual report and statement of accounts for 2024-25, along with the budget for 2025-26. Both were unanimously approved by the members.

Guests on the dais included Fr Johnson Pinto S J, headmaster and PTA president; Lancy D’Souza, assistant headmaster; Gerald M Fernandes, retired staff; and Clifferd Rodrigues, PTA vice-president. They were escorted by Sunil Lobo.

The PTA executive honoured retired staff member Gerald M Fernandes for his service to the institution. Outgoing vice-president, Clifferd Fernandes, was felicitated by the dignitaries, with the presentation carried out by Santhosh Kumar. Outgoing PTA executive members were honoured by the headmaster, while outgoing PTA secretary, Sunil Lobo, was felicitated by Chandrika.

The assistant headmaster announced the new PTA secretary, Edna Mascarenhas. In his address, the headmaster expressed gratitude to Sunil Lobo for his active service and to Gerald M Fernandes for his dedication and commitment to the school.

The SSLC top scorers for 2024-25, Mohammed Faheez Sheeyan and Sangamesha, were felicitated who also shared their schooling experiences.

Clifferd Rodrigues welcomed the gathering, Reshma Bhat proposed the vote of thanks, and the programme was compered by Jasmin.
