Mangalore: Aloysians in Festive Spirit as National Level Fest 'Art Beat' Kicks off

Mangalore, Feb 3: The national level inter-collegiate art fest ‘Art Beat’ organized by the faculty of arts, St Aloysius College kick-started at the college premises on Friday  February 3.

The theme of this year's art beat is 'Greenomania' based on a futuristic ideal world which aims to form through protection and preservation of resources and the environment at large. The focus is on how a little step of each person can lead to a leap into a greener tomorrow.

Chief guest of the day TNS Murthy, deputy chairman, NMPT inuagurated the event. Fr Joseph Rodrigues, rector, St Aloysius Institutions presided over the programme.

More than 15 colleges are taking part in the 16 different events of two-day fest. There will be events like Ad Making, Photography, Mime, Street play, Graffiti, Wealth out of waste, Movie Spoof, Instrumentals, Best Contender, PPT·Painting, Gaming, Quiz, Best Personality, Debate and Dance. Joseph Naveen is the student co-ordinator of the fest.

The valedictory will be held on February 4 at 4pm. District in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar will be the chief guest. C D Kumar, senior environment officer will be the guest of honor. Fr Swebert D’Silva will preside at the valedictory ceremony. Daijiworld is the official web partner for the event.
