KSRTC Bus, car collide head-on in Charmady Ghat stretch of Mudigere; four critically injured

Chikkamagaluru, Aug 10: A head-on collision between a KSRTC bus and a car left four individuals critically injured in a serious road mishap reported near Bidiruthala in the Charmady Ghat stretch of Mudigere taluk on Sunday, August 10.

According to police sources, the KSRTC bus was on its route from Dharmasthala to Shivamogga, while the car was travelling from Chikkanayakanahalli towards Dharmasthala when the two vehicles crashed at a sharp curve in the ghat section.

The impact of the collision was severe, with the car left completely mangled. All four passengers in the car sustained grievous injuries and were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Traffic along the National Highway came to a halt for some time following the incident. Banakal police arrived at the scene, registered a case, and have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
