Mangaluru: St Agnes PU College hosts a Library Week

Mangaluru, Aug 11: St Agnes PU College recently hosted a Library Week to engage students and promote a culture of reading. The events included various competitions such as Biblio Treasure, The Book Bowl, Stack It, Read-Remember-Repeat, Title and Tint, Tales in Symbol. Faculty members participated in Ink and Opinions and Secrets of the Stacks.

A book exhibition by Navakarnataka Publication was also organized as part of the library week, inaugurated by Sr Jyotsna AC, headmistress of St Agnes Kannada Higher Primary School. She likened libraries to temples of knowledge, emphasizing the importance of continuous reading and appreciating the efforts of authors.

Sr Norine D'Souza, principal of St Agnes PU College, encouraged students to utilize the library effectively with her inspiring words. Dr Tressie Menezes, the Librarian, along with student volunteers Diya Dechamma and Zubiya Fathma successfully coordinated the week-long events.

Students frequently visited library and were inspired to buy books.
