Mangaluru, Aug 12: St Aloysius PU College is dedicated to nurturing every facet of student growth, encouraging them to explore, enhance and present their abilities to the world. The annual inter-class talent hunt, Pulse, is a vibrant celebration of creativity, intellect, and cultural richness at St Aloysius PU College. Carefully crafted to bring out the best in every student, this series of competitions offers a dynamic platform to showcase diverse talents - ranging from intellectual brilliance and technical skill to artistic expression and organizational finesse. More than being just a contest, Pulse is a space where talents are rediscovered and celebrated through collaboration, shared experiences, and meaningful connections.
With the theme “Where talents regain their glory,” Pulse 2025 was inaugurated on June 23, through the ceremonial unveiling of its logo and theme. The occasion was graced by the principal, Fr Clifford Sequeira SJ, the vice principals and the deans. This inauguration set the tone for the exciting weeks to follow, igniting a spirit of enthusiasm and anticipation across the campus.

Students participated wholeheartedly in a wide array of competitions that reflected both individuality and teamwork. Individual events such as pencil sketching, Hindi pick and speak, Hindi poetry writing, Kannada mono act, Bharatanatyam, news bulletin, mehendi, English storytelling, and photography provided an opportunity for students to explore and express their unique talents. Meanwhile, group events like fusion singing, wealth out of waste, rangoli, and the fashion show encouraged creativity through collaboration, highlighting the power of unity and team spirit.
The month-long celebration culminated in a colourful and lively variety entertainment competition, held on August 7 for commerce and arts streams, and on August 8 for the science stream. These grand finales brought together music, dance, drama, and visual creativity, leaving the audience energized and inspired.
On the concluding day, winners of the various competitions, along with student convenors, were felicitated by the principal, vice principals, and deans. In his address on the occasion, Fr Clifford Sequeira SJ commended the students for their enthusiastic participation and outstanding performances. He also emphasized the importance of overcoming failures and fears with perseverance and strength. He reminded them that true development lies not just in victory, but in the experience of wholehearted participation. He noted that engaging in diverse activities helps foster holistic development, thus shaping individuals who are balanced and well-rounded.
Pulse 2025 not only celebrated the talents of the students but also reinforced the values of confidence, creativity, collaboration, and cultural appreciation—truly living up to its theme and spirit.
