Canacona, Aug 16: In a rare display of unwavering commitment, Leading Fire Fighter/Sub-officer Ulhas Gaonkar has been awarded this year’s President’s Medal for his exceptional service with the Fire and Emergency Services in Canacona.

Known for always putting duty first, Gaonkar has routinely responded to emergencies even while off duty or on leave, stepping up without being asked. His selfless approach and quick response in critical moments have earned him widespread respect.
