Glowinstar Integrated School celebrates Independence Day

Udupi, Aug 18: Glowinstar Integrated School celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on August 15 in the school premises. The school band led a lively and disciplined performance, filling the air with the rhythm of patriotic tunes.

This was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony, where chief guest unfurled the national flag. As the tricolor fluttered proudly in the morning breeze, the gathering stood in attention to sing the National Anthem with deep respect.

An impressive march past was conducted by the students of classes 6 to 10. Their coordinated steps and disciplined formations reflected the values of unity, strength, and respect for the nation.

Headmistress Shantha Fernandes took the stage to warmly welcome the chief guest, Mihir V Raval, the vice president of Invoq Loop Insurance Brokers Pvt Ltd ,to the gathering. The chief guest delivered an inspiring speech.

The principal, Dr T J Quadros, addressed the gathering with a powerful and motivational speech. He spoke about the progress India has made since independence and reminded students of their role in building the future of the country.

The cultural segment, titled "Patriotic Fiesta", showcased a variety of patriotic songs and dances performed by students from different grades. These vibrant performances celebrated India’s rich cultural heritage and paid homage to the nation’s journey towards freedom. Each act was met with loud applause and left a lasting impact on the audience.

The programme ended with the distribution of sweets, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of patriotism and pride.

The event was compered by Vaishali of Class 10. Shashank of Class 10 delivered the welcome speech and Ayesha proposed the vote of thanks.
