Medical admissions: KEA extends deadline for choice entry, fee payment to Aug 19, 3 pm

Bengaluru, Aug 18: In a crucial update for medical and dental aspirants, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline for candidates allotted seats in the first round of counselling to complete choice entry and fee payment until 3 pm on Monday, August 19.

KEA executive director H. Prasanna said that after paying the prescribed fee, candidates must download the seat confirmation slip and report to their allotted college by 5:30 pm the same evening.

“This window is open not only to those who’ve already been allotted seats but also to candidates who have not yet submitted their choices or paid the fees,” he clarified.

The KEA has made it clear that any candidate who fails to submit their choice or complete fee payment within the extended deadline will forfeit their allotted seat. These vacant seats will be cancelled and rolled into the second round of allotment, the official confirmed.

The extension comes as a last opportunity for candidates who may have missed earlier deadlines to secure their place in medical or dental colleges across the state.
