Mangalore, Feb 4: The local unit of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) staged a protest here on Saturday February 4 demanding the arrest of union home minister P Chidambaram over his alleged involvement in the 2G spectrum scam.

Hundreds of students who took part in the protest formed a human chain at Basaveshwara circle near KPT to express their demands.

Vinay Horatti, organizing secretary of ABVP city unit addressed the protestors and said that Chidambaram, who has allegedly played a prime role in the 1.76 lac crore 2G spectrum scam, should be made to resign and be put behind bars.

"There is no doubt that besides Chidambaram, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh too was party to the scam. The evidences gathered so far have all pointed to Chidambaram's involvement," he said.

He further demanded that Chidambaram should be immediately relieved of his post and taken into custody.

"There can be no impartial investigation into the case as long he continues to occupy the post of union minister. Therefore, he must resign and the CBI should take custody of him for interrogation," Horatti added.

Among those present were ABVP members Bindu Madhav, Ravi, Aneesh, Mitel, Yathishkumar, P Ullas and others.

Why the police give permission for the ABVP.The school authorities should punish the students for appearing in public for a politically motivated activity. I doubt these boys must be getting lunch coupon from the leaders to bunk classes and participate in this rally.Look at the girls in ABVP. They are not interested to protest against so many minor rape incident in the country. But ready to walk under the hot sun for this Chidambaram issue where the court ruled in favor of him. What these girls know about 2G scam? The BJP started the procedure of issuing 2G permissions and Raja continued as per the books and he did not apply bail until today because he knows there is no truth at all..

This is madness. When Subramaniam Swamy is focused on trapping PC and the trial court has found no merit in Swamy's argument why all this noise. That means this student organization does not have faith in our courts!!!

As Kapil Sibal rightly put it the Saffron outfits along with Swamy can appeal only to God to arrest Chidambaram. These outfits have scant regard for Indian constitution and laws but live in an illusion of self belief that they are the patriotic people and everybody else is gaddar.Shame on you useless fellows.

Forget about the scam. I wonder how many of those students know what is '2G Spectrum'and the details of that whole issue. That includes their leaders as well. Pity the ABVP. If you cannot find quality protestors dont go for quantity.

I feel sorry for these students who are blindly following instructions from communal forces without using their head. If they want to protest they do so against corruption in their own backyard (Yeddy & Reddy ).

ABVP should also protest against the corrupt BJP government causing crores of rupees of loss to the state, especially natural resources. Why biased and protest just against UPA ?

Daijiworld should ask these student leaders why they are not protesting against the state government.

Now that court decides that Chidambaram is not involved in 2G wrong doing, the enthusiastic ABVP, for the good of nation, should direct their energies against Yeddy who is already being prosecuted.
That will give them some credibility.

ABVP scared from Chidu because of his bold step against their beloved terrorist cadet Sadvi Prajya Singh well known that she is hailing from ABVP.. This is the only agenda behind this protest even after Supreme court nd CBI spec Court dismissing the charge against him saying "not find any sufficient ground for proceeding against Mr. Chidambaram"... Its is sorry to see ABVP that they dont have no other issue because the state is ruled by their own corrupt Govnt to which they cannot protest...

ABVP your demands have been listen by CBI COURT. Read the good news

New Delhi, Feb 4 (IANS): A special CBI court Saturday dismissed Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy's plea to make P. Chidambaram a co-accused in the 2G spectrum allocation case, spelling huge relief for the home minister.

This ABVP are instigated by Safrons. Students stay away from politics as you ate used by BJP n RSS for their political gain. Safrons Flags are flying. Corrupt BJP is using innocent students for their survival. Shame on you Sagrons. British rule was better than this. Already CBI special court has given relief to Chidu. Police are supporting this where as in Bajpe police Lathi charged students.
