79th Independence Day celebrated at Prasad Netralaya, Udupi

Udupi, Aug 21: The 79th Independence Day was celebrated at Prasad Netralaya, Udupi.

Dr Vasudeva Upadhyaya, Udupi taluk health officer, participated as the chief guest and hoisted the national flag.

In his address, he said, "It is our duty to safeguard the freedom earned through sacrifices and to firmly confront the threats posed by terrorism." He emphasized that both government and private sectors must contribute equally towards the nation’s development.

The hospital’s director, Rashmi Krishna Prasad, felicitated the guests on behalf of the hospital. Doctors Dr Paresh Poojary and Dr Sharath Hegde, along with other staff members, participated in the programme.

The hospital’s chief administrative officer, Madhyavallabh Acharya, welcomed the gathering and compered the event.
