Udupi, Feb 5: Manipal 'Sand Heart' artists Srinath and Venki Palimaru depicted the miserable life of a cancer patient at Padubidri Chitralaya art school on Saturday February 4 to mark World Cancer Day.

The main aim of the artists was to create awareness about cancer among the children.

The message given by the artists further said that only through the collective efforts by an individual, organizations, Government among others atleast 25% of death due to deadly cancer can be curbed. Too much modernization and increasing sedentary lifestyle without proper exercise can swell the chances of getting cancer. Hence one should give proper attention to exercise and food habits, they stressed.

'Together it is possible', was the theme of World Cancer Day 2012.
