Dubai, Feb 5 : Sangeet Sardar, Wilson Olivera's 6th Musical album, 'Oh Mhojea Bhangara' was released here at Winny's - Karama, Dubai. Being the first ever Konkani music album released in the year 2012, it has already captured the hearts of Konkani music lovers since its launch on 4 January in India and is now set to create history yet again in the Gulf region.
The event witnessed participation from leading businessmen and Who's Who of the Konkani music industry. The guest of honor, Joseph Mathias unveiled the musical album along with the other dignitaries on the dias namely; Eric D'Souza, Joseph Roche, Lenus Crasta, Agnel Rodrigues, Alwyn Castelino and Alex Crasta. These were few among the many people who supported this album.
Welcoming the gathering, Ronald Olivera brought to limelight the musical journey of Wilson Olivera. He stressed on the fact how Wilson was supported and heartily welcomed by a few associations in the Gulf during his early days. Ronald Olivera also mentioned about the motivation and support provided by Late Wilfy Rembimbus to Wilson in bringing forth his talent.
This album comprises of 12 scintillating numbers enriched with music straight from the heart sung by Rony D’cunha, Pradeep Pinto, Prashanth Pinto, Zeena Pereira and Babita Pinto along with Wilson Olivera. The music has been composed by Joel Pereira, recorded at Rajshri Studio, Calicut & CAD Media, Mangalore and dubbed in Dubai as well to reach maximum number of Konkani music lovers.
Speaking on this occasion, Joseph Mathias said, "At a young age of 16, Wilson has been composing musical numbers and his love, dedication and passion for Konkani music has made him what he is today. As a result of his hard work, Wilson has been instrumental in presenting 31 musical nites and releasing six albums and I wish and pray that Wilson continues to grow and groom Konkani music."
Knowing Wilson from childhood, Rony Byndoor described Wilson as a brilliant composer and singer who has time and again given moral and insightful messages through his meaningful compositions. He emphasized on some of Wilson's deep and thoughtful lyrics such as 'Mamma', 'Mai' and 'Air India Crash' that have left a deep impression in the minds of many.
In the words of Harman Lewis, CEO - Radio Spice 105.4 FM, "Wilson Olivera is not just a singer and writer but an 'Entrepreneur' too and it is this quality that has given birth to his 6th Volume. He went on to say that, 'Where there is a will, there is a way' so we must utilize our talent, bring out the best in us and the rest will fall in place."
