Jhalawar, Aug 23: In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old woman allegedly strangled her live-in partner, 32-year-old Harakchand Lodha, late Thursday night in Jhalawar, police said.

According to Jawar SHO Dhanraj, Rekha, fed up with Lodha’s alcohol addiction, tied his hands and feet before killing him. Lodha’s brother discovered the body the next morning around 10 am when he visited to check on him. Rekha reportedly remained calm throughout the night, continuing her routine chores without alerting anyone.

Police said Lodha had separated from his wife and children and had been living with Rekha for the past 6-7 months. The couple frequently quarreled over his drinking, with a scuffle reported on the night of the murder.

A case has been registered, and the body was handed over to the family after post-mortem. The accused has not been arrested, and further investigation is ongoing.
