Anti-drug awareness programme held in Silas PU College, Udupi

Udupi, Aug 23: An awareness drive against drug addiction was held at Silas PU College, Nittur, Udupi on August 22.

Bharatesh Kankanawadi, sub-inspector, Udupi Town police station was the resource person for the programme.

Addressing the audience, Bharatesh, spoke powerfully on issues such as substance abuse, and the vulnerability of youth, stressing the far-reaching consequences of these concerns. He opined that the growing trend of students falling into drug addiction has become a serious concern.

The event that was themed on ‘Drug-free future for all’ served as a strong reminder of the shared responsibility between schools, law enforcement agencies, families, and communities in guiding youth towards a drug-free and healthy future. Students pledged their oath towards forming a drug-free society.

Principal Dr George, was present during the occasion. Ramya compered the programme.
