Dubai, Feb 6: ‘USWAS’, an association of Shirva parishioners residing in the UAE, is preparing for its ‘Shirva Festha Sambhram-2012’ on Friday February 10, at the Al Masah Ball Room of Sheraton Deira, Dubai, from 11.00 am onwards.
USWAS is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2012 with over 200 members. Over the years, the association has been involved in various social welfare activities also.
The decennial celebration will start with the Shirva Festha Sambhram and the proceeds from this event will be used for various welfare projects taken up by USWAS during the year. The decennial celebration will conclude with a grand event ‘USWAS Dashamanotsav’ to be held on Sunday December 30, 2012 at Our Lady of Health Church, Open Ground - Shirva.
Two experienced, versatile, enthusiastic comperers, Roshan and Anitha Menezes D’Sa, with their humor, wit, and energy will anchor the event.
USWAS will unveil its new logo during the day and the event will have lots of fun games, spot prizes, music, dances by local talents. Shirva’s well-known comedians 'Boskyambegar’ are all set to tickle the audience with their comic skills and performance called ‘B-Mix’.
The ‘Rising Star of Shirva – Prashanth Sequeira’, after releasing the most sensational hit, Konkani Album, ‘Yo Moga’, will perform accompanied by Nisha Lobo and Joy Almeida Uttam Menezes, and Sandeep Saldanha.
Well-known band, ‘Sweet Melodies’ of Dubai, under the leadership of Arun Carlo, along with other musicians, will provide live music. A lavish buffet lunch will also be part of the fun-filled day.
Limited invitations are available and can be obtained from the following persons or any of the committee members of USWAS. Festha Sambhram is an event open to all. Invitations will not be available at the venue.
As a part of the decennial year celebrations, USWAS will stage Pradeep Barboza's ‘Ootre Uzwadlem’, hit comedy drama by Sangon Mugdhana Kalakas on Friday 27 April, 2012 at ISC-Abu Dhabi.
