Christking Institutions girls’ volleyball team selected for district-level tournament

Karkala, Aug 29: The girls’ volleyball team of Christking English Medium High School, Karkala, has secured first place in the Karkala taluk-level girls’ volleyball tournament held at Vidyavardhaka High School, Mundkur. The tournament was organized in collaboration with the department of public instruction, government of Karnataka, and the office of the block education officer, Karkala.

By clinching the top spot, the team has now qualified to participate in the upcoming Udupi District-level volleyball tournament.

The victorious team was represented by Shiny D’Souza and Shagun Verma (class 9), Karthika Shetty and Ashika (class 9), Vidyashree and Keerthana D’Souza (class 10), and Saanvi Shetty (class 8).

Adding to the accolades, Shagun Verma was named best attacker, while Shiny D’Souza bagged the best passer award in the tournament.
