Mangaluru, Sep 1: Lourdes Central School continues its tradition of spreading love and kindness, reinforcing the values of compassion and generosity. Building up on the success of the previous charity mission, the school once again embarked on a meaningful journey - LCS Charity Mission Phase 1 - 2025 a week event held from August 18 to 28. An act dedicated to strengthen community bonds, encouraging selfless acts and deepening the understanding of charity.
This initiative aimed to instill in every Lourdite the true essence of giving-not just as an obligation but as a heartfelt gesture of love. Teachers played a pivotal role in guiding students toward embracing values such as empathy, friendship, sharing and care. Through morning assemblies and class discussions students were encouraged to reflect on their role in uplifting those in need.

With unwavering enthusiasm, students from pre-kg to class XII participated in the noble mission. They brought in groceries, stationery, hygiene essentials and other necessities, which were then been distributed to orphanages and old age homes namely Samvedana Children’s home, Happiness Home Trust, Sneha Sadan, Ashraya Mangaluru, Karunamaya Ashram and Khairiya Shelter Thokkottu.
More than just donations, this mission was about creating connections –bridging the gap between the privileged and the underprivileged, fostering a sense of belonging and responsibility towards society. Parents and staff also actively contributed, reinforcing the idea that charity is a collective effort that strengthens the foundation of a compassionate society.
