Mangaluru, Sep 5: Lourdes Central School commemorated National Sports Day on August 29 with a series of vibrant and engaging activities that highlighted the importance of sports in education and life.
To mark the occasion, the morning assembly was conducted by the energetic students of class IVB on September 2 in the Conference Hall. The assembly featured a thoughtful role play and a presentation on the significance of National Sports Day, inspiring students to embrace physical fitness and teamwork.






















































Following the assembly, and with the blessings of the principal, Fr Johnson L Sequeira, a house-wise badminton tournament was organised for students of classes IX to XII. A total of 18 teams participated, showcasing impressive skill and sportsmanship. The winners and runners-up were felicitated by the principal in a spirited award ceremony.
Adding to the excitement, a special badminton match for parents was held in the LCS Indoor Stadium. Parents participated enthusiastically, making the event truly inclusive and memorable. The principal once again honoured the winning and runner-up teams, appreciating their active involvement.
The entire celebration was a resounding success, thanks to the meticulous planning and coordination by Vishwanath Devadiga, the dedicated physical education teacher.
