Udupi, Sep 9: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with reverence and enthusiasm at Glowinstar Integrated School on September 4 to honour the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the lives of students.
The programme commenced with a prayer, invoking divine blessings for the well-being of teachers and the school community. A floral tribute was then offered to the portrait of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former president of India, as a token of respect to the great teacher and philosopher in whose honour the day is observed.

This was followed by a warm welcome address by Krithi of class 10, setting the tone for the day’s celebrations. The principal delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the dedication, selfless service, and guiding role of teachers in nurturing young minds and building a strong foundation for society. Students too came forward to express their gratitude through heartfelt speeches, sharing reflections on the importance of teachers and the life lessons they impart.
To add colour and joy to the occasion, fun games were organized exclusively for teachers, which filled the atmosphere with laughter and camaraderie. A vibrant cultural programme featuring lively dance performances and soulful music by the students was the highlight of the event, making the celebration both entertaining and memorable.
As a special gesture, students honoured their teachers with floral offerings and thoughtful tokens of appreciation. Teachers, in turn, penned their wishes and thoughts on a message board, creating a cherished memory of the day.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Thrishan of class 10, expressing gratitude to the teachers, students, and organizers for making the programme a resounding success. The event was compered with grace and confidence by Fadwa of class 10.
The day not only strengthened the bond between teachers and students but also served as a reminder of the noble and irreplaceable role teachers play in shaping the future of society.
