Udupi, Sep 9: Two brand-new school buses valued at Rs 48 lacs donated under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund by 'Leapfrog Engineering Services Limited', Bengaluru to Innanje Institution under SODE group on September 8.

Shri Sode Vadiraja Math, Udupi, through the Shri Vishnumoorthy Hayavadana Swamy Education Society, has been committed to providing quality education to underprivileged students in Innanje, a rural village in Kaup taluk of Udupi district since 1943, even before India's Independence. In its early years, the institution operated as a boarding school, drawing students from across the undivided Dakshina Kannada district and the neighbouring districts of Karnataka and Kerala. Nevertheless, the Innanje Schools (nursery, higher primary, high school & PUC levels) have consistently maintained their reputation for academic excellence, and today around 700 students from nursery to 12th standard study in this campus, mainly from lower/middle-class backgrounds.

To support students commuting from different areas, the management has provided eight school buses at very nominal charges. However, responding to the dire need of increasing commutation facilities for children coming from far-off rural interiors, SODE Group of Educational Institutions CEO Radhakrishna S Aithal, appealed to his student Prabhav N Rao, managing director of Leapfrog Engineering Services Limited.

Responding to the appeal the reputed company 'Leapfrog Engineering Services Limited', Bengaluru, has come forward to support through its CSR initiative. Recognizing management's efforts towards sustained growth of promising institutions imparting holistic education and run by a noble charitable trust, Prabhav N Rao, has generously donated two brand-new school buses valued at Rs 48 lac under the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund.

Priya Shaila P Rao, wife of managing director Prabhav N Rao, on behalf of Leapfrog Engineering Services Limited, formally handed over the keys of the newly donated buses to the school management in a special ceremony. The keys were received by Sri Vishnumoorthy Hayavadana Swamy Education Society, P Srinivasa Thantry, correspondent and Rathnakumar, secretary.

Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Shri Sode Vadiraja Math has extended his appreciation to Leapfrog Engineering Services Limited, Bengaluru, its managing director Prabhav N Rao and the company's management for their generous contribution and commendable support to provide all privileges to invigorate the organization

The event was graced by Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal, CEO of SODE Group of Institutions, principal Prof (Dr) Thirumaleshwar Bhat, the principal of SVH PU College Rajendra Prabhu, the headmaster of SVH Kannada medium High School, the headmistress of SVH English medium High School, and the headmistress of SVS English medium Nursery and Primary School Mamatha, Sushma and others.
