They road constructed itself are not right. either close the junction and create a gap in median after 500 meters towards Mangalore so that only for right turn and on more gap in median before the junction towards highway towards Kundapur so this is only for right turn from Manglore Why most of incidents are happening in the junction is there are 6 roads meeting at junction and barricates don't help same as near Mahesh hospital. Like abroad countries only one side turn should be provided. one gap in median for right turn and one gap in median for left turn are not at on intersection. No one cares about highways as one new highways are build without any standards. No one even asks in the that place what and how roads should be done. I think even if we ask a small class 8 th std student would say what is required.

Udayavar junction is a dangerous area of crossing despite having barricades. Many accidents take place here. I feel there is an urgent need to build an underpass or overbridge here. I remember long ago when I was studying in Manipal, one of my close friends' brothers unfortunately had a near-death experience here at this junction. It is high time that the government develops an underpass or overbridge here to prevent accidents.
