Mangaluru, Sep 9: St Agnes School CBSE, Bendur, witnessed a vibrant celebration of Teachers’ Day on September 5, with the campus echoing with gratitude, joy, and heartfelt appreciation for the mentors who shape lives.
The day commenced with a grand and cordial entry of the teachers. The enthusiastic cabinet members warmly ushered them into their divided teams—Team Maharashtra, Team Gujarat, Team Goa, Team Kerala, and Team Tamil Nadu—and escorted them to their respective staffrooms, soon after, teachers proceeded to the classrooms, where students had prepared delightful celebrations in their honour.






























































The formal programme began with the teachers being ushered into the auditorium amidst thunderous applause, making them feel cherished and honoured. The event opened with the introduction and welcoming of the chief guests Anu Mathew and Preethi Vikaramakumari, fondly called the 'lucky winners and stars of the day'. Their gracious presence added warmth and charm to the occasion.
A solemn prayer service set a divine tone, invoking blessings on all teachers, followed by a delightful welcome speech by Ayesha Riza. The atmosphere grew even more vibrant with a resounding welcome dance performed by the students. Both the chief guest and the principal highlighted the significance of the day, reminding everyone of the invaluable role of teachers.
The cultural segment unfurled with a series of heartwarming performances. A touching video tribute capturing memorable moments with teachers left the hall brimming with emotions. A melodious wishing song, an energetic western dance, and a thought-provoking dance drama showcased the students’ immense love, admiration, and creativity.
Adding a personal touch, each classroom was beautifully decorated with balloons, flowers, charts, and heartfelt messages—an expression of the students’ gratitude that deeply moved their teachers. The significance of Teachers’ Day was presented with reverence, honouring Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s vision and the noble role of educators in society.
In her inspiring message, chief guest Anu Mathew expressed heartfelt joy at being celebrated so grandly. She described teaching as not merely a profession but a vocation of love, patience, and sacrifice. Appreciating the students’ thoughtful efforts, she reminded teachers of their profound influence in shaping knowledge, values, and character.
The principal, in her address, warmly praised the selfless dedication and tireless commitment of teachers. She emphasized that teachers are true nation-builders, moulding the future through their wisdom and guidance. She lauded the St Agnes staff for their consistent hard work and encouraged them to embrace continuous learning and adaptability in today’s changing world.
The school cabinet added liveliness to the programme with surprise performances filled with creativity, humour, and unique themes that delighted and entertained the teachers.
The vote of thanks, delivered by Nirved, gracefully acknowledged the efforts of all who contributed to the programme’s success. Fun-filled games and activities for teachers added moments of laughter, relaxation, and joy.
The programme was seamlessly compered by Megan, Lisha, Riyana Miranda, Achinthya Devadiga, Azha Fathima, and Srivatsa Pai, whose cheerful presence kept the audience engaged throughout.
The day concluded with presentation of mementos by the management in recognition of the staff’s selfless service, along with prizes to the winning teacher teams. Smiles, laughter, and heartfelt gratitude filled the air as the celebration came to a close.
